every flower must grow through dirt

The trick is to enjoy life. Don’t wish away your days, waiting for better ones ahead.

I firmly believe in small gestures: pay for their coffee, hold the door for strangers, over tip, smile or try to be kind even when you don’t feel like it, pay compliments, chase the kid’s runaway ball down the sidewalk and throw it back to him, try to be larger than you are— particularly when it’s difficult. People do notice, people appreciate. I appreciate it when it’s done to (for) me. Small gestures can be an effort, or actually go against our grain (“I’m not a big one for paying compliments…”), but the irony is that almost every time you make them, you feel better about yourself.

Stop trying to figure it all out. Often the answers come to us when we least expect it.

I over-analyze situations because I’m scared of what will happen if I’m not prepared for it.

Esme Grey, Foenix, curator of the internet's junk drawer. She/her. This is where all the interesting things go, but you never know what might explode out when you open the drawer. But you can expect horror movies, comics, science fiction, and tv.

W-Why are there still public executions in NYC related places (idk how it works in other countries but I️ also don’t know if they have those Scared Of Drag ppl)? Genuinely concerned now
Because the US is run by bloodthirsty fascist thugs, next question.
The U.S. plans to livestream an execution. Here’s how that compares to global practice | CBC News
Damn. That is absolutely insane. Live streaming an execution. After 90 years of doing in a closed off room probably for secrecy. My mind is blown in a negative way
State-authorized snuff videos are designed to desensitize the public to violence and reinforce state power through reactionary death anxiety. Making a masturbatory spectacle of real-life murder inherently cheapens human life. Treating state murder as a proud and open display of civic virtue is socially different than squirreling it away as a practice to be ashamed of. Would it help if I used the word “lynching”?
They want to do murders in public because they want to create a public that considers brutality against particular bodies to be virtuous. They want to replace the existing culture with something far worse, built in their own evil image.
#They also want to lessen empathy they have talked about this goal
